Company Secretarial Senior/Manager

Our professional staff supports entity establishment, corporate compliance and entity maintenance, corporate governance and best practices, expansion and corporate restructuring, and entity rationalisation.

As a senior / manager of Company Secretarial Department, you will work on various corporate secretarial engagements, and achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients on a day to day basis. You will make technical contributions by preparing or reviewing all sorts of compliance documentation for complex organizations in diverse and specialized industries.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full spectrum of company secretarial matters independently

• Coach and exercise necessary supervision over junior company secretarial staff

• Lead any ongoing or ad-hoc projects

Requirements:

• A degree holder preferably in business, law or corporate governance

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on company secretarial experience

• HKICS or ICSA qualification will be a plus

• Well conversant and experienced in all aspects of company secretarial practice under the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance  

• Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese

• Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines

• Self-motivated, ability to handle work independently and excellent communication skills

Senior Accounting 
Associate

Responsibilities:

  • Handle bookkeeping, accounting & compliance reporting engagements

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, vouchers and all the necessary schedules 

  • Prepare year-end financial statements, management of the audit, and reviewing other related reports

  • Archive engagements’ reports and correspondences on timely basis

  • Follow through on client requests on a timely manner and manage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports

  • Work effectively as a team member, share responsibility, provide support, maintaining communication and update senior team members on engagement’s progress

  • Build strong internal relationships within the team and across other service lines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or above degree holder in accounting or related major

  • Preferably a qualification certificate, including but not limited to, HKICPA, CICPA, ACCA, or AICPA

  • Good knowledge of various accounting standards such as HKFRSs, IFRS, US GAAP, tax laws/rules, ability to identify clients' technical issues, and provide workable solution

  • Experience and knowledge of cloud-based accounting and reporting software applications such as QuickBooks, Xero, Spotlight Reporting etc will be a bonus

  • Excellent knowledge of business applications including MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint etc

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, and good command of written Chinese. 

  • Good communication skills and maintenance of positive working relationships with client personnel on all engagements

  • Outstanding ability of effectively managing multiple engagements independently and under time pressure

Senior Audit Associate

As an Audit Senior, you'll make a technical contribution to audit client engagements. Within your role, you'll execute complex audit procedures, supervise junior engagement team members and help define the audit strategy. Working under the supervision of an audit manager, you'll help execute our work and present its findings to the clients.

 

With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you'll escalate issues as appropriate. Working closely with colleagues, you'll determine whether the work plan is properly executed, documented and concluded in compliance with our Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) guidelines. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible principally for audit related engagements

- Support the planning, execution and delivery of audit engagements

- Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress

- Assist in preparing reports and schedules

- Proactive in developing a thorough understanding of the risk assessment process and its impact on the engagement and inputs into risk discussions in relation to the engagement and entity

- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel

- Build strong internal relationships within Audit and across other services

- Coach, supervise and conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff

- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

Requirements:

To qualify, candidates must have:

- Bachelor or Master degree of accounting or related major

- Professional accountancy certification (e.g. HKICPA, ACCA or other CPA) is preferred

- At least 3 years of auditing experience in a public accounting firm, preferably in Big 4

- Good understanding of HK GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP   

- Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques

- Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies

- Proficient in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written, including technical and business writing, documentation and presentation skills

- Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)

- Result-oriented with an attention to details

- Strong analytical skills and high commitment to delivering quality client service

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and prioritization skills

- Mature, with strong initiative and strong teamwork and leadership skills
