Hong Kong Residency Pathways

Golden Visa

Hong Kong does not have a traditional "Golden Visa" program like many other countries. However, they do offer several pathways to residency for high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs.

Hong Kong Capital Investment Entrant Scheme (CIES)

This is the closest equivalent to a Golden Visa in Hong Kong. It requires a significant investment of HKD 30 million in permissible assets, including:

  • Non-residential real estate (capped at HKD 10 million)

  • Equities

  • Debt securities

  • CDs

  • Subordinated debt

  • Collective investment schemes

  • Limited partnership funds

After 7 years of residency, applicants can apply for permanent residency.
